I have the feeling that the brands that were designed several decades ago had a longer duration, that they stayed longer. What allowed them to be able to evolve and mature. They were something alive, which needed their time to mature.
But I didn't want to comment something about branding, but about digital design. About web design, mainly. Many of you already know what I think about the uniformity of current digital design and how boring it is in many cases. What I think is that websites also need time. Like when you buy a new car. In the first 5,000-10,000 kilometers the car is not at full capacity. It needs a shoot, so that everything adjusts. But in digital design, everything changes very quickly and there is no time for that website to adjust. And I'm not talking about whether it works well or not. Of course, it has to work. It is about "modeling" the design with the use, to better understand the context.
Maybe it's a feeling of being an older person.
