Hola.
I recently bought a book about an exhibition of his work at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in New York. The book is called "Spike Lee. Director's Inspiration" and it is a mainly visual work with those objects that the director has been collecting during his career that have defined his work (and his life). The exhibition is called "Stories of Cinema" and Spike Lee has been the first to show his private collection there.
Practically all the pieces he has are kept in his office at the production company 40 Acres & A Mule, which he created from the beginning of his career to develop his projects.
I was surprised by the collection of original posters that he has signed by the authors of those works, such as Martin Scorsese, Kirk Douglas, Steven Spielberg... And musical instruments, such as a guitar that Prince himself gave him.
I have not seen the entire filmography of this director, there are films that have had little distribution in Spain, but without a doubt in almost all of them you can see his personal mark, either because of the use of music, the production or the characters that appear . "The 25th Hour" or "Do The Right Thing" are part of my life.
One thing that impressed me when I saw the book is the magnificent design of the movie posters of the 60s and 70s. With the release of "Jaws" in 1975, American (and world) cinema completely changed towards more commercial films and that style of promotion also changed.
Signed posters for movies like "The French Connection", "Taxi Driver", "Spartacus", "Dog Day Afternoon" appear in the book and I still find them wonderful.
Thanks to this book you can also understand the importance that Lee gives to design and art direction to his works. Maybe that's why from the beginning he was a director who made a certain impression on me.
Or because he was also Mars Blackmon ;)

Trends are dead
Everything and anything can be a trend on the internet. Why are we so determined to name them?3 ways to get comfortable with ambiguity
From a very young age, we’re praised for knowing the right answer—and on the quick! But as designers, that’s almost never possible. Our job is to help create a future that is, by definition, uncertain; so we're forced to face ambiguity on every project. There are always times when we don’t know where to go next, don’t have an answer, or get stuck. So how do we deal? What are ways to get more comfortable with being uncomfortable?
Designing a perfect pricing page UX
Imagine that you need to design a pricing page. The page is intended for a product that has four different pricing plans. All plans are designed for different audiences, vary in features, include some customization options, and are available in various currencies. For such a table, we should probably consider addressing specific groups with appropriate plan’s names and descriptions. We should also allow users to highlight differences between the plans and probably provide a fully-fledged feature comparison matrix.Don't call them users

Nostalgia is a strange idea, a rose-tinted longing for the past. Nostalgia gets even weirder when it’s about the recent past.
